Mission Rev Conference with Claude Hickman
One Weekend Could Change Everything! Please join us as we welcome Claude Hickman from Mission Rev on Sunday, February 5, 2023 for a day on focusing on God’s Word and God’s World. We start with Sunday School at 9am following with the Worship Service at 10am. Lunch is provided at no cost to those coming for the afternoon session. Child care will be provided during the afternoon sessions for infants and toddlers. Please register if you are coming for lunch and afternoon sessions. Adult Sunday School @ 9am: II Kings 7
- See how God used four unlikely men to save a city.
- Understand how God can use imperfect people for His perfect plan.
Worship Service @ 10am: The Biblical Basis of Missions
- See the plan of God unfolding from Genesis to Revelation – the redemption of all nations.
- Hear the whole Bible distilled down into one story with an introduction, a plot, and a conclusion.
- Understand missions as the fundamental theme in scripture and not just at peripheral issue.
- Gain a solid foundation on which to build a heart for the world.
Afternoon Session 1 @ 1pm: The Task Remaining
- See the remaining task of missions in the world. This includes a closer look at the 10-40 window.
- Understand the basic beliefs in Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Chinese and Tribal religions.
- View the world from a new perspective: reached and unreached people groups.
Afternoon Session 2 @ 2pm: World Christian Habits
- See missions as more than overseas work – everyone has a part to play. We will look at ways to be involved daily through praying, giving, mobilizing, and reaching internationals.
- Explore the other side of missions. Be equipped with easy application points to live out a world Christian lifestyle.
- Come away ready to challenge others to gain a heart for the world.
On our Speaker, Claude Hickman:
Claude is the Executive Director of The Traveling Team. After marrying his wife Rebecca in 1999, they spent seven years traveling and speaking about missions in universities and churches across the country.
Today Claude oversees the three teams that continue to tour the U.S. challenging people to become the next 100,000 goers and senders. Claude is a graduate and guest chapel speaker at Dallas Theological Seminary and teaching pastor at Sandals Church. He is also former professional bmx athlete, a Guinness World Record holder, and author of Live Life On Purpose, It’s All Backward, and an evangelistic book Rebel.
He lives with his family in Southern California, and continues to develop leaders, speak, and awaken God’s people to God’s purpose.
Claude has over two decades of public speaking experience. Speaking to crowds of all sizes, including those of 5,000 + listeners.
