What is Perspectives?

Perspectives is a fifteen-week course designed around four vantage points or “perspectives” — Biblical, Historical, Cultural and Strategic. Each one highlights different aspects of God’s global purpose.

The Biblical and Historical sections reveal why our confidence is based on the historic fact of God’s relentless work from the dawn of history until this day.

The Cultural and Strategic sections underscore that we are in the midst of a costly, but very “do-able” task, confirming the Biblical and Historical hope.

Why Perspectives?

God has a “world-sized” role for every Christian in His global purpose. Whether people go to distant countries or stay at home is a secondary issue. The primary issue is what most people are hungry to discover: vision to live a life of purpose. Discovering that vision makes this course valuable, and perhaps crucial, for any Christian.

This Fall Semester is at LEFC on Monday nights from 6:30pm-9:30pm, starting on August 28 until December 11. Half of the cost of the classes will be covered for all participants from Hinkletown upon completion of the class. There are 2 workloads- for those who have the time who wish to gain as much as the class has to offer outside of college credit, the Certificate Level is your time to shine. For those who have less time and wish for a lighter workload, then the Key Readings Level is right for you.

Certificate and Key Readings are both priced at $280, and the textbooks will cost an additional $43. The first 5 people to sign up have the opportunity for free used copies of the textbooks!     • Key Reading ($280)
      • “The Key Reading Level is the introductory level of the course. You’ll receive the same instruction and participate in the same activities as the Certificate and Credit level. You will be required to read three to five Key Articles weekly and complete several Personal Responses. *Alumni surveys indicate students who enroll at the Certificate or Credit Level benefit the most from the course.”
    • Certificate ($280)
      • “Deepen your understanding of God’s global purpose through the recommended certificate readings and assignments. You’ll receive individualized feedback on your weekly Lesson Reviews, Personal Responses, and the Integrative Project. Students earn a Certificate of Completion from Perspectives USA – valued at churches and agencies. This is the recommended level for getting the full impact of the course.”
    • Credit (Undergraduate) (Price depends on academic institution)
      • “You can receive college undergraduate or graduate-level credit for taking the Perspectives Course! You must verify that the credits from your choice of our partner credit institution qualify for transfer at your receiving college or university.”

      • Each week, class will begin at 6:30pm and end by 9:30pm.This includes a break roughly from 8:00-8:20pm.
