Welcome!
We invite you to join us on Sunday mornings as we worship our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, together. Sunday school for all ages starts at 9:00, and our worship service starts at 10:00. An infant and toddler nursery is staffed and available during both Sunday school and the worship service.
Hinkletown is a church who strives to prepare God’s people for the work and mission He has called them to, equipping people to proclaim Christ’s love and salvation to all those we have the opportunity to.
Ephesians 4:12
Our History
The foundation of our congregation was laid in 1934 by a young woman, Esther Mellinger Bair. She desired to start a Bible school in her Hinkletown home. Those successful weekly summer Bible schools showed our early leaders the need for a church in the Hinkletown area. In 1943, the Hinkletown Mennonite Church began.
Currently, Hinkletown is an independent church with an oversight team of 3 persons from other congregations.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a normal Sunday morning worship service like at Hinkletown? What should I expect when visiting?
Every week is a bit different, but you can expect the worship service to last around 75 minutes. You will be greeted by ushers as soon as you walk through the door and greeters stationed nearby will be happy to help you find your way and answer any questions you may have. A team of dedicated musicians will lead us in worship. A message from the Bible, God’s truth for all of us, will be presented for all in attendance.
What do people wear?
You will find some men wearing suits and ties and women wearing dresses and you will also find men wearing polo shirts and jeans and women wearing blouses and slacks. The focus is on worshipping Jesus, not on what you wear. You are welcome how you are.
What kind of music do you have?
We have a mixture of traditional hymns and modern worship songs, led by one of our worship teams.
