About Us

Overview

Hinkletown is a church who strives to prepare God’s people for the work and mission He has called them to, equipping people to proclaim Christ’s love and salvation to all those we have the opportunity to.
Ephesians 4:12

History

The foundation of our congregation was laid in 1934 by a young woman, Esther Mellinger Bair. She desired to start a Bible school in her Hinkletown home. Those successful weekly summer Bible schools showed our early leaders the need for a church in the Hinkletown area. In 1943, the Hinkletown Mennonite Church began.

Currently, Hinkletown is an independent church with an oversight team of 3 persons from other congregations.
